The wiki was operated first on my own server where players connect to and games are run and saved. That isn't a good combination since my upload speed is limited (standard DSL broad band connection). Currently we have about 100 hits the day accessing 4 to 5 pages. Furthermore, the computing power and working memory of a plug device does not compare with real servers. Therefore I moved the wiki to Sourceforge.net. But now they will retire this service [1] and we are back at zero. There are a lot of wiki hosting service available for free [2,3], unfortunately the majority is ads funded (as an example [4], I didn't check others). So the question is what to do. Maybe someone has experience with wiki hosting.

http://scrabble3d.wikia.com/wiki/Scrabble3D_Wiki is horrible! I cannot accept so many advertising banners on Scrabble3D's wiki. Our beloved Scrabble3D is a high quality software that caters to a more serious and intellectuel clientele.

As long as someone has a hosting package, it's fairly easy to install MediaWiki (even I managed to do that!). I'm not sure though if it is possible to have two wikis on the same hosting packer, I will have to check. But if someone else has a hosting package, that would be an option too.

What does "hosting package" mean? Is it the computer hardware to be used as a server?

Of course, we can put effort in SF's wiki. But I'm afraid we will not get bombarded with volunteers.
