Scotty, i can sent to you in a mailbox the files of source code which are interesting for you. I use Lazarus 0.9.31 with FPC 2.5.1 on win32.

for example for the bag i have a unit ubag that looks like upieces. If you use my code, VERIFY that it is compatible with your functions ( for example the right click of mouse).

You are right Bussingen, for playing Duplicate , the dictionary isn't necessary. Dawg accelerate the loading of dictionary and also the computer search of the best solutions.
For Scrabble3D designed for international it is safe to not use dawg :
1 ) for compatibility with all the languages and alphabets.
2 ) i am not sure that with dawg we could use the categories.
3 ) Scrabble3D without dawg is faster than a human
